Verify a design across tolerances

Run every resistor/capacitor corner, inspect failures and preserve the evidence.

Step 1

Review the saved study

  1. Open Verification. In Analysis & engine, check the engine and AC frequency sweep.
  2. Confirm Tolerance corners with R1 resistance ±5% and C1 capacitance ±10%. Choose native if ngspice is unavailable.
Check your result

The run button shows four cases: every low/high combination of two parameters.

Step 2

Understand what is being measured

  1. In Measurement & limits, inspect the positive output terminal and source reference.
  2. The selected measurement is First −3 dB low-pass crossing. Keep lower and upper limits at 130 and 200 Hz.
Check your result

The study will test cutoff frequency, rather than comparing raw node voltages.

If you get stuck: Blank limits only record a measurement. They do not assert a pass/fail result.

Step 3

Run and inspect all corners

  1. Choose Run 4 cases. Inspect the completed count and each row's assessment.
  2. Choose Inspect on a run, then expand its model notes, solver log and reproducibility details.
Check your result

All four cases pass. Cutoffs are approximately 137.5–185.7 Hz; engine/version and run inputs are available.

If you get stuck: Unavailable engines, rate limits or cancellation can leave an Incomplete study. Do not read a partial run as a complete pass.

Step 4

Make a failing requirement visible

  1. Change the upper limit to 170 Hz, then run the four cases again.
  2. The highest cutoff exceeds the limit. Inspect that case, then restore the upper limit to 200 Hz and rerun if you want a passing final report.
Check your result

At least one case fails the tighter 170 Hz requirement. Changing the requirement changes the assessment.

Step 5

Save setup and captured evidence

  1. Download Report JSON for the circuits, settings, results and solver provenance. Download Results CSV for a compact table.
  2. Save project to retain the study setup. Keep the reports separately: project saving does not store the captured runs.
Check your result

You have a reusable study and a separate record of what was actually simulated.

If you get stuck: Corner checks evaluate the selected models and endpoints. They do not certify physical ratings or production yield.
