Save an account project
- Give the project a recognizable name. Choose Save project and sign in or create an account if prompted.
- After signing in, choose Save project again. Open Projects to confirm it appears in your list.
Project saved appears and the design can be reopened from your account.
If you get stuck: Guests can edit and export. Account limits determine how many projects can be stored.
Export an editable copy
- In Schematic, use Export circuit JSON. In PCB layout, use Export complete project JSON.
- The full project JSON includes circuit, analysis settings and any PCB/electrical document. Send that file to someone who should receive an editable copy; they can import it in their own workspace.
You have an .json project file, not only a picture or manufacturing layer.
If you get stuck: OhmNest currently has no shared team editing. A project JSON is a copy, not a live collaboration link.
Recognize recovery and save conflicts
- Unsaved edits may produce a Recovery saved on this device status. After reopening, a Restore draft banner offers locally recovered work when available.
- If a save conflicts with a newer server revision, use the separate-copy option or reopen the saved project after preserving your work.
You know whether a design is saved to the account or only present as a local recovery draft.
If you get stuck: Do not rely on recovery as your only backup. It is browser/device-specific, may be unavailable, and is cleared for that account on sign-out.
Keep the right output for each purpose
- Save or export project JSON for editable work. Download Verification Report JSON/Results CSV for captured simulation evidence.
- Export PDF book/Documentation ZIP for electrical documentation and Manufacturing ZIP for PCB fabrication files.
Your editable source, simulation evidence and issued outputs are stored separately.
If you get stuck: Saving a project retains a study setup but not its old simulation captures. Download reports before closing a verification session.
